Properly defined interaction between surface water and ground water is a complicated process which requires the use of hydrodynamic and water-balance equations. Study of the interaction between surface water and ground water is of great importance in theoretical as well as in applied investigation. Quantitative assessment of the interaction can be performed through Cauchy-type boundary conditions with different resistances for discharge or recharge. Cauchy-type boundary condition is needed for proper representation of surface water as well as for loosing water through the bottom (high resistance) or gaining water mostly near to the water surface (low resistance). TRIWACO Groundwater simulation package is a suitable tool for introduction of Cauchy-type boundary condition with different resistances for discharge or recharge process, what is presented in the paper.
