The purpose of this study is to present basic data in order to enhance measures to support internalization and activation of autonomous club activities by analyzing the core competencies of youth activities according to the characteristics of participation in the activities of the youth. In order to achieve this study, the researchers selected 240 students of humanities from two general high schools in Gyeonggi-do as a population. Finally, the data were collected from a total of 176 people and statistical data were processed according to the purpose of the study. Questionnaires were used as a survey tool, and independent variable consisted of nine questions, consisting of general characteristics, type, motivation, duration, degree of participation, and satisfaction. and the dependent variable used a questionnaire consisting of 63 questions of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, social sentiment and career development, which were sub-components of core competency in youth activities. The resultant analysis of the survey was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and a Cronbach's α was calculated to verify the reliability of the measurement tool. In addition, frequency analysis and technical statistical analysis were performed to identify the demographic characteristics of the people studied and the general characteristics of the measurement variables. To analyze the core competencies of youth activities according to the general characteristics (gender and grade) of teenagers with experience in participating in autonomous club activities, t-testing, and one-variety analysis were performed. and One-way ANOVA analysis and a post-check were conducted to find out the differences of the characteristics of participation in autonomous club activities, including persistence, type, motivation, duration, degree of participation, and satisfaction. The conclusions obtained after discussing the results are as follows: First, the results of the analysis of the frequency of the characteristics of youth autonomous club activity according to the demographic characteristics of the research target showed that both men and women participated the most in academic activities, while men and women participated in sports activities and women were high in cultural and artistic activities. It also confirmed that all school years were the most involved in academic activities, and that the duration and duration of autonomous club activities were also increasing as the school year went up. The degree of participation was also confirmed to be active throughout the school year. Second, on the difference in core competences of youth activities according to the general characteristics of the study subjects, in the case of gender, women showed significantly higher differences in collaboration capabilities than men. In terms of communication, collaboration, creativity, social sentiment, and career development capabilities, the level of sophomores was higher than that of first graders, and in collaboration, the level of sophomores was higher than that of third graders. Third, as a result of verification of differences depending on the persistence of participation in autonomous club activities, significant differences in communication and collaboration capabilities showed that the level of the continuous participation group was higher than that of the previous group. Fourth, differences in core competences of youth activities according to the type of participation in autonomous club activities were found to exist significantly higher levels of youth group activities in communication, social sentiment and career development than other activities. Fifth, there were no significant differences in the verification of differences over the motive and duration of participation in autonomous club activities. Sixth, the analysis of differences according to the degree of participation in autonomous club activities showed that the 'active participation' group was higher than the 'little participation' group in communication and collaboration, and significant statistical differences were identified. As a result, it has been shown that the experience of participating in autonomous club activities can help foster core competencies of youth activities by analyzing differences in the core competencies of youth activities according to the characteristics of participation in autonomous club activities. Therefore, schools need practical systems and efforts to increase the participation rate of autonomous club activities that are run by teenagers on their own initiative.
본 연구는 청소년 자율동아리활동 참여특성에 따른 청소년활동 핵심역량을 분석해 집단 간에 어떤 유의미한 차이가 있는지 살펴봄으로써, 자율동아리활동 내실화 및 활성화 지원 방안을 제고하고자 기초 자료를 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 경기도 소재의 고등학교 중 자율동아리활동을 실시하고 있는 두 곳의 일반 고등학교에 재학 중인 인문계 청소년 240명을 모집단으로 선정하여 설문을 실시하였고, 최종적으로 총 176명으로부터 자료를 수집하여 연구 목적에 따라 통계처리 하였다. 조사 도구로는 설문지를 사용하였으며, 독립변인은 일반적 특성, 참여특성(지속성, 유형, 동기, 기간, 참여정도)으로 구성하여 9문항, 종속변인은 청소년활동 핵심역량의 하위요인인 비판적 사고, 의사소통, 협업, 창의력, 사회정서, 진로개발 63문항으로 구성된 설문지를 사용하였다. 설문에 응답한 자료를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 18.0을 사용하였으며, 조사대상자의 일반적 특성을 확인하기 위한 빈도분석 및 기술통계 분석, 측정도구에 대한 신뢰도분석(Cronbach's α), 성별에 따른 청소년활동역량의 차이를 확인하는 독립표본 T검정, 학년과 자율동아리활동 참여특성인 지속성, 유형, 동기, 기간, 참여정도에 따른 청소년활동역량의 차이를 확인하기 위한 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA)과 사후검증(Scheffe)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 통계분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 청소년 자율동아리활동 특성 빈도분석 결과는 남녀 모두 학술활동에 가장 많이 참여하고 있으며 스포츠활동은 남자가, 문화예술활동은 여자가 높게 나타났다. 전 학년 모두 학술활동에 가장 많이 참여하고 있었으며 학년이 올라갈수록 자율동아리활동 참여 지속성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 참여정도는 전 학년에서 활발하게 참여하고 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 연구대상의 일반적 특성에 따른 청소년활동 핵심역량 차이에 대해서는 성별의 경우, 협업 역량에서 여성이 남성보다 유의하게 높게 나타나는 차이를 보였다. 학년의 경우 의사소통, 협업, 창의력, 사회정서, 진로개발 역량에서 고2의 수준이 고1 보다 높게 나타났으며, 협업의 경우 고2가 고3보다 높게 나타나는 차이가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자율동아리활동 참여 지속성에 따른 차이검증 결과, 의사소통, 협업역량에서 지속적인 참여집단의 수준이 과거에 활동한 집단보다 높은 수준으로 나타나는 유의한 차이를 확인 할 수 있었다. 넷째, 자율동아리활동 참여 유형에 따른 청소년활동 핵심역량 차이는 의사소통, 사회정서, 진로개발에서 청소년단체활동이 다른 활동보다 유의하게 높은 수준의 차이가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 자율동아리활동 참여 동기와 기간에 따른 차이검증에 대해서는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 여섯째, 자율동아리활동 참여정도에 따른 차이분석결과, 의사소통, 협업에서 ‘활발하게 참여’ 집단이 ‘거의 참여하지 않음’ 집단보다 높은 수준으로 나타났으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 확인 할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 자율동아리활동 참여특성에 따른 청소년활동 핵심역량의 차이를 검증 하였으며, 학술적, 정책적 지원방안을 제고하는 기초자료로서 의의를 가지고 있다. 따라서 청소년이 주도적으로 참여가 가능한 자율동아리활동을 지원하기 위한 지속적인 학술적 관심과 후속연구가 필요하다.
