With the rapidly development of communication technology, the communication industry is widely integrated with the financial industry and e-commerce, and mobile payment services rises gradually. This paper will study the industry chain and operation mode of mobile payment, and provide theoretical advice for industry participants and relevant government departments. At present, in the field of mobile payment, WeChat payment and Alipay add up to more than 90% of the market share. This paper focuses on the comparative study of mobile payment and WeChat payment, using SWOT analysis to study the advantages and competitiveness of mobile payment, and the reasons for the rise of WeChat payment in a short time. Duopoly is the status, but it is not the future. Although UnionPay and Apple Pay lose their first-mover advantage, they may still play a role under the policy and NFC technology support. Perhaps in another ten years, today's protagonists will become history, and there will still be emerging power in the field of mobile payments.
