China unemployment insurance system has already been 25 years since it was built in 1986. During these years, it is in the state of being gradually modified and perfected. Although the whole framework of unemployment insurance system has formed at present, there are still some problems and defects in it. Therefore, it is necessary to support a study on the existing problems of our current unemployment system and counter-measures accordingly under the background of our non-optimistic employment reality. With the gradual deepening of economic reform and continuous adjustment of social structure, social security system has to face a lot of tough difficulties and to some problems. It is one of the prominent contradictions that the current imperfect social security system cannot meet people’s increasing demand for building a harmonious society. This thesis attempts to makes a summary of successful experiences from unemployment insurance systems of developed countries, including Britain, Korea, America, and Japan. Finally, it tries to explore ways of perfecting the current unemployment insurance system of China by drawing on the guiding principles and successful experiences above. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on studying the current situation of China unemployment insurance system, and its relationship with history and social economy. It also analyses the problems of current unemployment insurance system. Additionally, on the basis of drawing, on guiding principles and successful experiences abroad, this thesis proposes some advices to promote China unemployment insurance system. Meanwhile, I put forward major problems of the current social security system and address some recommendations.
