Since it is known that information quality has strong impact on the potential customers' repurchase intention, information quality has became an important factor which the open market operators should consider in establishing consumers' satisfaction and trust on their open markets and repurchase intention of their goods. This study aims at analyzing; firstly, the characteristics of information quality in open markets; secondly, the impact of the information quality on the consumers' satisfaction and trust, thirdly, the impact of the consumers' satisfaction on the consumers' trust, lastly, the impact of the consumers' satisfaction and trust towards the open markets on the open market customers' intention of repurchase. By analyzing the characteristics of information quality in open market, this study classifies the characteristics of information quality into five categories, information quality of goods, information quality of customer service, information quality of seller, information quality of security, and information quality of customer feedback. The following hypotheses and the model depicted in Fig 1 specify the antecedents and consequences of customers' satisfaction and trust and their interrelationships. H1: Information quality of goods positively affects customer satisfaction. H2: Information quality of goods positively affects customer trust. H3: Information quality of customer service positively affects customer satisfaction. H4: Information quality of customer service positively affects customer trust. H5: Information quality of seller positively affects customer satisfaction. H6: Information quality of seller positively affects customer trust. Research Model H7: Information quality of security positively affects customer satisfaction. H8: Information quality of security positively affects customer trust. H9: Information quality of customer feedback positively affects customer satisfaction. H10: Information quality of customer feedback positively affects customer trust. H11: Customer satisfaction positively affects customer trust. H12: Customer satisfaction positively affects repurchase intention. H13: Customer trust positively affects repurchase intention. In this study, a survey was performed targeting open market customers, 400 questionnaires are collected from November to December 2009. Among them, 56 questionnaires did not properly answer the questionnaire. Accordingly, 344 questionnaires were used for this study. In order to test the hypotheses we conducted the structural equation modeling(SEM). Fig 2 specifies the results for the hypotheses. The findings from this field survey are as follows.: Firstly, by analyzing relationship between information quality and consumers' satisfaction and trust, this study finds out that goods information, customer service information, seller information, security information, and customer feedback information have an impact on customers' satisfaction. Except customer feedback information, goods information, customer*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 Results for Hypotheses service information, seller information and security information have an impact on consumers' trust. Information quality of goods analysed as the factor which has the most significant impact on customers' satisfaction and trust. Information quality of customer feedback is immaterial to customers' trust. Secondly, this study finds that consumers' satisfaction makes an impact on consumers' trust. Thirdly, as this study finds that the consumers' satisfaction and trust make an impact on the intention of repurchase, it is suggested that the more the internet consumers are satisfied with and trust the open market, the repurchase intention is increased. This study conceptually investigates the antecedents and consequences of customers' satisfaction and trust in open market and empirically tests many of the hypotheses. One of the contributions of this study is that it provides an integrative framework of the phenomenon called customers' satisfaction and trust in open market. As such, it should help researchers as well as practitioners understand what information quality is, its prerequisites, and potential effects on customers' satisfaction, trust and repurchase intention. This study is understood as providing efficient knowledge for open market operators to establish appropriate marketing strategy to lead the existing consumers to repurchase their goods. Thus, this study has considerable applicability for practitioners and researchers. Further researches, however, are needed in various viewpoints, since it is understood that open market consumers' shopping behaviors are influenced by various factors apart from information quality. Also, future study is needed to investigate how customers' individual characteristics(ex. need for cognition: NFC) can play moderating roles among the variables identified in this research.
