본 연구는 중국인이 가지고 있는 창의성에 대한 암묵적 지식을 살펴보았고, 또한 성별과 세대에 따라 지각한 암묵적 지식과 창의적인 인물의 차이를 비교해 보았다. 연구대상자는 수도 북경에 거주하는 10대부터 50대까지 총 131명이며, 설문은 개방형 질문지로 실시하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 중국인이 생각하는 창의적인 사람의 특성은 전체적으로 긍정적으로 나타났으며, 가장 높게 나타난 특성은 ‘지적 능력’이었다. 둘째, 창의성에 대한 암묵적 지식은 성별에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 몇몇 특성에서 차이가 있음을 보여주었다. 셋째, 세대별 차이에서 구세대(30대 이상)보다 신세대(30대 미만)가 부정적인 암묵적 지식을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 가장 창의적인 인물의 직업군은 “예술가/연예인”으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 세대별 창의적 인물의 직업을 살펴보면, 신세대에게 가장 많이 제시된 직업은 ‘예술가/연예인’이었으며, 구세대에서는 ‘정치가’가 가장 많이 제시되었다.
The authors investigated the implicit knowledge of creativity in China. 131 Chinese (64 men and 67 women) completed open-questionnaire on two questions. Two questions were as follows: ‘what are the characteristics and behaviors of creative people?’ and ‘Who do you think is the most creative people in China?’ The results are summarized as follows: (1) Most Chinese people have positive perception on creativity. And “intellectual” was listed as the most considerable factor. It mean that intelligence is relate to creativity closely in Chinese implicit knowledge of creativity. Other attribute categories, such “adventurous” “original” “foundation of skills & knowledge” “independent” “perseverant” “imaginative” “positive” “sensitive/observant” “driving force” were suggested as top ten. Males and females had very similar implicit knowledge of creativity except some small differences. Some differences were found by different generation. For positive factors, there’s no obvious difference. However, regarding the negative factors, they were appeared more commonly among new generation. “humorous”and “aesthetic” emphasized in west was appeared more as the new generation's answer. This means that the opinion of the Chinese new generation and the advanced western countries is closer. (2) For the most creative people in China, Artists/entertainers and politicians dominated the list. Next, scientists/inventors, businessmen, philosophers/ educators, writers, were nominated in order. Among different generation, Artists/entertainers were nominated mostly by new generation and politicians were nominated mostly by old generation. With the increase of International Festival, such as the opening ceremony of Olympic Games 2008, Chinese got more rich understanding of creativity.
