In the process of corporate growth, SMEs have difficulties in market expansion due to lack of marketing capabilities, financial procurement due to financial size, fairness issues related to transactions with large companies, difficulties in exchange rates and oil prices under the global economic system, adaptability, and securing excellent manpower. SMEs in Jeju cannot be an exception. This study was conducted to suggest strategic directions for the continuous growth of SMEs in Jeju. To this end, this study identified the current status and problems of SMEs in Jeju and presented strategic directions based on them. Through the analysis of the current status, this study proposed the following as a future competition strategy for SMEs in Jeju. First, it is necessary to strengthen education and training for SMEs' talent training and employees. Second, it is necessary to have a customized education and training system. Through mutual linkage with each related institution, it is necessary to educate field-specific and field-applied talents that can be used immediately in the field. Third, it is necessary to strengthen joint marketing activities to expand the market for corporate products. Fourth, entrepreneurship aimed at global companies and leading companies is needed.
