DRC (Dynamic Range Control) is the adaptive adjustment of the dynamic range of audio signal and widely used in ADSP (Audio Digital Signal Process). A specific DRC module can contain one or more of the four functions, which need to be designed separately according to the design requirements. This work uses CHISEL to implement a DRC module whose data format and internal structure can be configured by parameters. The designer can modify the parameters according to the design requirements to control the generator to generate the RTL code of the DRC module containing different functions. This article describes the DRC generator design and compares the error between different data formats.
