The health condition of transformer is related to the safe and stable operation of power grid. This paper introduces the reason of abnormal grounding current of iron core and clamp of 750kV main transformer. Firstly, the on-line monitoring device is used for real-time monitoring, and then the current limiting resistance is added at the iron core grounding lead down line to reduce the grounding current. Then the multipoint grounding fault of the main transformer is confirmed by outage diagnosis and eliminated by the welder's high current shock. Finally, the abnormal grounding current of similar transformer core or clip is dealt with. The research results of this paper have certain reference and guiding significance for the fault diagnosis of multipoint grounding of main transformer. 1
