The article presents a study which attempts to measure the energy expenditures (EE) in Physical Activity across the Curriculum (PAAC) intervention. Accordingly, the study conducted an evaluation of the EE in male and female subjects using the indirect calorimeter (IC) and accelerometer (ActiGraph). In conclusion, the article notes the absence of valuable gender differences for age and that the PAAC elicited a level of EE that has the possibility to prevent excessive weight gain or obesity in children.
