In recent years, with the instant development of radar detection and target recognition, the demand for studying the electromagnetic (EM) scattering of moving complex target has become increasingly prominent. In this paper, the EM scattering of moving target is investigated based on the shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) algorithm combined with the rotation matrix method. And the EM scattering characteristics of moving complex target under different motion attitudes are analyzed. In the numerical results, the EM scattering of moving target is calculated by the proposed algorithm and compared with the results by the FEKO-MFLMM method, which shows good consistency. Then, the motion model of aircraft formation is established. Finally, the backscattering of moving aircraft formation is solved, and the EM scattering characteristics of moving aircraft formation are analyzed. It proves that this method can consume less time while ensuring computational accuracy for solving the EM scattering of complex moving targets.
