This study is a literature review that examines the intricate interplay between innovative work behavior and compassion in the context of new social venture ideation, particularly within the era of artificial intelligence (AI). As organizations undergo profound transformations catalyzed by AI, it is crucial to comprehend how innovative work behaviors and compassionate initiatives synergize to shape the ideation of social ventures. Drawing from the social identity theory, which posits that individuals seeking distinction within society must contribute positively, this study underscores the significance of compassion as a prosocial emotion. This emotion, essential for engaging in new social venture ideation, connects individuals with suffering communities, fostering sensitivity to others' pain and needs.
