This study aims to promote the development of the Korean cosmetic industry in the silver woman market and to increase the purchasing rate of silver woman consumers in China. To this end, this study focuses on the packaging design of cosmetics in terms of design, and the current cosmetic packaging design focuses more on the aesthetic demand of young women. Research and studies on the existing silver woman cosmetics packaging design are relatively insufficient. This study aims to clarify the direction of packaging design for silver women in China and to contribute to developing packaging design for Korean cosmetics by raising consumers’ satisfaction. Accordingly, this study analyzes the packaging design of eight types of anti-aging sets and conducts a preference survey on cosmetics packaging design for silver women in their 50s to 70s in China. The study results and contents are as follows. First, in packaging design colors, consumers tend to prefer a golden color and then purple and blue. Second, in packaging design illustrations, consumers tend to prefer the auspicious design elements of a phoenix and auspicious clouds. Third, in terms of packaging design layouts, consumers prefer simple text-style layouts. And fourth, in the open-ended questions, most respondents answered that ‘simple and bold’ keywords are part of other requirements for disseminating silver woman packaging design and application. Based on the study results of this paper, it is expected that more comprehensive and complete studies will be conducted, reflecting the future packaging design preferences of silver women in China.
