1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES This study examines political implications for improving regulations in Korea through conducting surveys targeting Knowledge Industrial Centers across the nation and analyzing their level of importance and satisfaction in regulations. (2) RESEARCH METHOD A groundwork for this study was on the basis of a review of precedent studies and analysis of knowledge industrial centers such as investigation of their present state as well as of locational and physical characteristics. Also, analyzed differences of satisfaction degree of residents, suppliers, and managers using IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis). (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS The result of analysis using IPA, managers had the highest satisfaction and attached the most importance to regulations, followed by suppliers and residents. In the survey of satisfaction in regulations, five regulations and its factors, such as the limit of kinds of supporting facilities, no resident's rent, no resident's monopoly, business supporting facilities, and supporting public facilities, shows differences of estimation. 2. RESULTS The result shows that, in the matter of the factor of the limit of kinds of supporting facilities, residents considered it as a high priority of improving, while suppliers thought it to be loosened controls or abolished. But, managers wanted it to be maintained or expanded. Next, as the factor of no resident's rent, residents thought it to be loosened controls or abolished, while suppliers evaluated it to be maintained or managed. managers, meanwhile, wanted it to be maintained or expanded.
