A pulse source with inductive energy storage was used to trigger the silicon carbide Diode Avalanche Shaper (DAS). By importing the pulse signal from the experiment into the sentaurus, and at the same time imitating the pulse source output with a current source, the degree of agreement between simulation and experiment is greatly improved. The triggering process of silicon carbide DAS in experiment is analyzed in detail with the help of simulation. The study found that although SiC DAS has obvious sharpening effect on the pulse in the experimental, the trigger was not perfect. This trigger is defined here as half trigger. This paper introduces the half trigger mechanism and gives some suggestions to avoid it.
