In order to analyze the characteristic mechanism of its influence on Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) for Electric Vehicles(EVs) in a wide-speed range, this paper introduced an analysis method to investigate the influence of inverter current harmonics on IPMSM vibration and noise. Initially, the characteristic parameters under inverter harmonic current were theoretically analyzed. After, the IPMSM multi-physics coupling vibration and noise finite element model was established to analyze the vibration and noise spectrum characteristics at 3000rpm(constant torque speed control) and 8000rpm(flux-weakening magnetic speed control), the results were compared with the vibration and noise spectrum under sine-wave current. Finally, the experiment verified the correctness of the analysis results.
