Flying mobility is the most suitable application of microwave beam power transfer because the object required high energy density charging. A new PID control system was installed into the hovering drone wireless power transfer system. This paper achieved 1.2 m altitude and over 60 s continuous WPT demonstration with free-flight drone and 28 GHz millimeter wave.
