Nowadays, sapphire resonator thermometer is a novel field starts from 2007 at NIST [1] and lots of work were done then by Strouse [1] and Yu et al. [2], [3] based on spherical and cylindrical sapphire. In order to make the thermometer more and more compact, sapphire rod was studied. Investigations on potential perturbations were firstly studied before the practical thermometer was done. This paper mainly discusses about the perturbations come from the supporting screws, supporting Teflon, axial displacement to the antennae and so on. Experiments were all done at room temperature based on a sapphire rod resonator.
