T-violating triple-product correlations in hadronicbdecays

We study T-violating triple-product asymmetries in the quark-level decay $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{b}\mathrm{su}\ifmmode \bar{u}\else \={u}\fi{}$ within the standard model (SM). We find that only two types of triple products are non-negligible. First, the asymmetry in ${p}_{u}\ensuremath{\cdot}({s}_{u}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{s}_{\ifmmode \bar{u}\else \={u}\fi{}})$ or ${p}_{\ifmmode \bar{u}\else \={u}\fi{}}\ensuremath{\cdot}({s}_{u}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{s}_{\ifmmode \bar{u}\else \={u}\fi{}})$ can be as large as about $5%.$ It can be probed in $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{B}{V}_{1}{V}_{2}$ decays, where ${V}_{1}$ and ${V}_{2}$ are vector mesons. Second, the asymmetry in ${s}_{b}\ensuremath{\cdot}({p}_{u}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{p}_{s})$ can be in the range 1--3 %. One can search for this signal in decays such as ${\ensuremath{\Lambda}}_{b}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Lambda}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}.$ All other triple-product asymmetries are expected to be small within the SM. This gives us new methods of searching for new physics.
