T-odd triple product asymmetries in beauty decays

The decay b→suū receives contributions from both tree and penguin amplitudes. In this talk I show that tree-penguin interference gives rise to a T-violating triple product sb⋅(pu×ps) between the b-quark spin and the momenta of the s and u quarks. In the standard model, the T-violating signal turns out to be rather large, about 6% of the total rate. This is quite encouraging, and suggests that triple products may be useful for testing the standard model and searching for new physics.
